Job Description

Highlights of your role: The Maintenance Electrician assists the Facilities Management Director with the installation of new wiring, apparatus and equipment or additions, alterations or extensions to existing wiring, apparatus or equipment; repairs and upkeep of the physical building and the grounds and equipment; is also responsible for the painting and decorating of the building itself. The Electrician will assist the Director as needed. Electrician will maintain Master Electrician's License for the facility. Hourly •It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. What you'll get to do in this role: Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Director of Maintenance. Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed. Take temperature readings and boiler room readings. Test generators and other equipment & pumps. Responds to emergencies including but not limited to operation of the emergency electric generators, fire alarm control, HCAC operations, etc. Organizes and maintains inventory of all supplies needed for facility maintenance. General facility upkeep such as repairing doors, walls, floors, ceilings, and other related building upkeep & repairs. At scheduled times, serves as the designated on-call maintenance person to cover after hour emergency maintenance Upkeep of grounds, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal. You're an excellent fit, if you have: Master Electrician's license in the State of Minnesota 1st Class C Boiler License valid MN driver's license 1 year experience in physical plant operations and equipment maintenance in an institutional setting preferred knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, and air conditioning repair knowledge and ability to use various manual power tools ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings knowledge of
NEC, NDPA
70, the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in facilities including its safe usage, maintenance, and storage knowledge of common safety practices and procedures including general safety, fire safety, lock out/tag out, arc flash Benefits statement: LifeCare Medical Center offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying employees.
