Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician Helper is responsible for assisting in completing routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings, and building systems. The duties include responding work orders, conducting routine inspections, performing preventative maintenance tasks, working with specialists and contractors, and performing emergency repairs, which necessitate troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

Performing routine cleaning and sanitizing, completing small repairs, checking, and maintaining security equipment, facility repairs, running diagnostics and programming Fanuc robots. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines or vehicles. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. Prepares reports documenting work performed. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines. Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. Uses a variety or power and hand tools to perform job functions. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Position Requirements:

Mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing specialties. W ritten and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform calmly and competently in an emergency. Working knowledge of two or more trades. Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. Promote Process Improvement. Background Check conducted by employer.

Education and Experience:

Trade or Vocational School completion or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or robotics preferred. Two years of experience in one or more of the maintenance trades.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Regular daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise. Regular daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. Regular ability to stand; sit at a desk; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting to inspect equipment, climbing ladders . Rarely exposed to poor ventilation or enclosed spaces. Frequent use of personal protective equipment, as defined by Consolidated Minerals, Inc, will be provided . May be exposed to silica used in the production process.

Salary:

$16.00 to $22.00 per hour. Depends on experience.
