Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to lead and support our maintenance team in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical systems, machinery, and facility equipment. This role is responsible for overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating daily maintenance operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Supervision Supervise and support Maintenance Mechanics and maintenance personnel during daily operations. Assign, prioritize, and monitor maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance schedules. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to maintenance team members. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Assist with scheduling maintenance coverage and coordinating emergency repairs as needed. Maintenance Operations Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems. Ensure timely diagnosis and repair of mechanical failures to minimize production downtime. Support maintenance and repair of motors, pumps, gearboxes, valves, compressors, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical/control systems. Review and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Ensure maintenance records, logs, and documentation are completed accurately. Safety & Compliance Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of tools, PPE, and equipment. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, maintenance practices, and operational efficiency. Maintain compliance with company standards and maintenance best practices. Inventory & Coordination Assist with managing spare parts inventory, tools, and maintenance supplies. Coordinate with production, engineering, and other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption. Work with vendors and contractors when necessary for specialized repairs or services. Requirements Proven experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or a related field. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and logic controllers. Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and equipment effectively. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development. Flexibility to respond to maintenance emergencies or operational needs when required.
