Job Description
Maintenance Planner The Maintenance Planner supports plant reliability by preparing, organizing, and coordinating maintenance work. This role ensures jobs are well-planned, properly resourced, and executed safely to keep equipment running efficiently. General Responsibilities Promote company values and maintain a strong safety culture. Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and proper ergonomic practices. Perform routine equipment checks and report hazards or mechanical issues. Support supervisors in maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Maintenance Planning Responsibilities Develop clear job plans for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance. Create, update, and manage work orders in the CMMS. Ensure labor, parts, tools, and contractors are secured before work begins. Review plans with maintenance leads and technicians to align expectations. Track key maintenance metrics such as backlog, PM completion, and schedule adherence. Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis efforts. Maintain accurate equipment documentation, parts lists, and historical records. Lead weekly planning/scheduling meetings with operations and maintenance teams. Ensure work plans meet safety, environmental, and maintenance standards. Provide planning support during outages, shutdowns, or critical events. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's in engineering, industrial technology, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing. Proficient with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.). Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and technical documents. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Familiarity with reliability concepts and predictive maintenance. Certifications such as CMRP, CMRT, or PMP are a plus.
