Job Description:
River City Environmental is seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician with strong hands-on experience across multiple trades. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, from rough framing to finish work, and takes pride in quality craftsmanship. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in home remodeling on general handyman experience!
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair work on residential and/or commercial properties Framing, drywall, trim, and other carpentry tasks Diagnose and repair plumbing issues (leaks, fixtures, basic pipe work) Perform basic to intermediate HVAC maintenance and repairs Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (outlets, switches, lighting, breakers) Complete finish work including paint, flooring repairs, doors, and hardware Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Maintain a safe and organized work environment Communicate clearly with management and tenants/customers
Qualifications:
Proven experience in maintenance or construction trades Strong skills in framing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and finish work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills Valid driver's license, clean and insurable driving record, and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions
