Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for a competent Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance in our Greenhouse facilities. You will be responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring the smooth running and upkeep or repair operations. An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are essential. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times. Responsibilities Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of greenhouse structures, including roofing, glazing, benches, shade systems, and irrigation lines. Supervise maintenance of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and cooling) and ensure optimal climate control. Monitor and maintain irrigation and fertigation systems, including pumps, filters, injectors, and timers. Ensure lighting systems (grow lights, timers, etc.) are functioning properly and efficiently. Coordinate maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems related to greenhouse operations. Lead and train a team of maintenance technicians and general laborers. Schedule and assign daily tasks and projects based on priorities and seasonal needs. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and service intervals. Monitor safety procedures and ensure compliance with PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and emergency protocols. Maintain inventory of tools, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies. Coordinate with vendors for ordering parts, equipment, and outside repair services. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and tools. Communicate closely with the greenhouse management team to coordinate maintenance with production schedules. Support installation of new greenhouse systems or upgrades. Prepare maintenance reports and updates for management.

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years of maintenance experience in an agricultural or greenhouse environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Ability to work in warm/humid environments and lift 50 lbs.
