The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading all maintenance operations across the ranch resort, ensuring that facilities, grounds, pools, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. This hands-on leadership role oversees a team of maintenance technicians and groundskeepers while supporting the resort's commitment to exceptional guest experiences in a serene ranch setting. The ideal candidate brings extensive resort maintenance expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to preserving the property's beauty and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Operations & Leadership Lead, schedule, and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians, groundskeepers, and contractors Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for all resort facilities, guest accommodations, equipment, and amenities Oversee daily inspections of buildings, grounds, pools, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely, professional, and guest-focused manner Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inspections, and equipment service histories Pools, Grounds & Facilities Manage pool maintenance operations, including water chemistry, filtration systems, pumps, and compliance with health and safety regulations Oversee grounds maintenance, including landscaping, irrigation systems, pathways, fencing, and outdoor guest areas Coordinate and perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building systems Maintain ranch-specific infrastructure such as barns, trails, outdoor amenities, and natural features as needed Ensure that all guest-facing and back-of-house areas reflect the resort's standards of quality and presentation Safety, Compliance & Budget Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, fire, pool, and environmental codes Conduct regular safety training, audits, and inspections to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and source vendors and parts in a cost-effective manner Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, and oversee proper storage and care Team Collaboration Partner with housekeeping, front office, food and beverage, and spa teams to ensure seamless resort operations Mentor, coach, and develop team members to support professional growth and high performance Support special events, guest activities, and seasonal preparations as needed Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented team environmentQualifications:
5+ years of maintenance experience in a resort, hotel, or hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Proven expertise in pool maintenance and water systems, grounds management, and broad-based facilities maintenance Dynamic, hands-on maintenance knowledge across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and pool/spa standards Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations Valid driver's license and ability to operate maintenance vehicles and equipmentPreferred Attributes:
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent Experience in ranch, resort, or luxury hospitality settings Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) a plus Proactive, detail-oriented, and guest-focused mindset Strong communicator with the ability to lead and develop a diverse team Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusWork Environment:
This role is based onsite at a ranch resort, with work performed both indoors and outdoors across the property. The position involves walking, standing, lifting, climbing, and working in varying weather conditions. The Maintenance Supervisor must be comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities while maintaining a professional and guest-friendly presence.Additional Information:
