Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing various machinery, physical structures, and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, PLCs, and production machines. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of our industrial processes. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment. Visually inspect operating machines and equipment to ensure conformance with operational standards. Locate and prevent causes of malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discussing operational variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers. Work collaboratively with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Replace and lubricate gearboxes, motors, bearings, and shafts. Start machines and test operation after repair. Replace and repair water filtering systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Install and maintain production machines, overhead conveyor systems, and welding equipment. Essential Skills 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience or a 2-year degree in electro-mechanical program or industrial maintenance. Leadership qualities and independent thinking. Troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in hydraulics and industrial maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Electrical experience is a plus. Robotic experience is advantageous, especially for robotic welding machines. Prefer more leadership experience over a degree for 2nd shift due to its more autonomous nature. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working in a dynamic industrial setting with shifts available from Monday to Friday. 1st shift runs from 6am to 2pm, and 2nd shift runs from 2pm to 10pm. The environment varies between the older, hands-on side of the plant, working with sheets of steel, to the fully automated North side, where overhead tracks are constantly moving. Current knowledge gaps on the 1st shift team include electrical skills and Fanuc expertise. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hortonville, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
