Job Description

Job Summary Hotel Maintenance Tech provides day-to-day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Management. Responsible for preventative maintenance, daily repairs, and other duties as assigned. Hotel experience desirable. Continuously work towards and supports the improvement of maintenance service to both guests and associates.
Job Functions:
Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems. Conducting ongoing room preventive maintenance program. Resolving maintenance problems, complaints, and other work orders to prioritize and schedule work. Ensure pool and spa is properly maintained to include cleanliness and chemical content. Carpentry and painting skills, as well as drywall and carpet repair work, is a plus. Ensure department expenditures meet budget requirements. Inspecting property to identify potential and current needs Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing knowledge required. Prior hotel maintenance experience is a plus. Working knowledge and experience with swimming pool maintenance. Experience maintaining accurate inventory. Must be able to maintain guest satisfaction scores and brand standards.
Responsibilities:
Repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners and cosmetic items.
Tools:
to clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. To see that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage area.
Fire Alarm/Life Safety System:
to monitor systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems. To have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems.
Emergencies:
to be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during an emergency. To act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status. To inform Management of any such emergencies.
Accident Prevention and Safety:
To continuously look for conditions which may endanger associates or guests of the hotel and to take immediate action to correct any hazardous conditions found and to ensure this information is passed on to other shifts. Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner. Maintain communications with supervisors to ensure that all needed materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order. Provide training and technical advice to other associates as needed or requested. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
