Job Description

Maintenance Technician, McCall Location:
Dayton, OH, 45402
Skills:
Electrical controls, PLCs, mechanical, hydraulics/pneumatics, basic welding (a plus but not required) The region's premier healthcare and hospitality linen provider has opened a brand-new processing plant in Dayton and is seeking to hire Maintenance Technician's to work First Shift. Responsibilities may include troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance procedures on a variety of manufacturing production equipment and completion of other tasks as assigned by Maintenance Manager in a safe and timely manner with minimal supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment Perform basic repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility systems Help inspect equipment for safety and proper operation Clean, lubricate, and replace basic parts such as belts, filters, and bearings Use hand and power tools safely and properly Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Maintain maintenance logs and complete work orders Follow company safety policies and procedures Keep work areas clean and organized Assist senior technicians with equipment installations and repairs Physical requirements include: The ability to utilize ladders and man lifts Stand for extended periods of time Lift/carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Technical school training or maintenance coursework preferred but not required Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Strong problem-solving skills Dependable with good attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualified candidates must have an acceptable background check and ability to pass a drug test.
