Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker specializing in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and Plumbing to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting essential building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of facilities maintenance across our operations, contributing directly to the well-being of our staff and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and mechanical equipment. Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults accurately. Repair or replace faulty parts, including welding components when necessary, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Assist with residential painting projects or minor carpentry tasks as needed to support facility upkeep. Supervise or collaborate with team members on large maintenance projects while demonstrating leadership qualities and ensuring safety compliance. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by skills in welding, schematics reading, and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork. Supervising experience or leadership qualities that foster team collaboration and safety awareness. Knowledge of manufacturing or residential environments is a plus; experience in customer service is highly valued.
