Job Description

Motor Components, LLC is a global leader in the electronic fuel pump industry, seeking an experienced Maintenance/Toolmaker Technician to provide equipment and facilities support within the organization. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and fabricating: tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and production equipment to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role combines precision toolmaking skills with hands-on equipment maintenance to minimize downtown and ensure end-product quality.
Relevant Experience and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred; familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in toolmaking, machining or industrial maintenance; Journeyman Toolmaker certification preferred . Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on various production equipment; fabricate, modify and repair tools, dies, molds, jigs and fixtures to precise specifications
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and tool fabrication; ability to collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve tooling design and equipment reliability
  • Experience with manual machining equipment; operate Machine Shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders and shear machines . Diagnose root causes of equipment/tooling failures and implement corrective actions; perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; maintain accurate maintenance logs, tool records and documentation . Assist in equipment installation, setup and commissioning . Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
  • Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment; Ability to manage own time, priorities, and resources to achieve company goals and objectives.
Pay:
$61,200.00 per year
