Job Title Mammography Technologist Job Summary Successfully meets the needs of patients and families by delivering excellent patient care, performing a variety of mammography procedures and bone density scans in a compassionate and safe manner. Maintains compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act and all Federal, State and Regional regulations. Performs exams, and prepares and maintains records and files in accordance with ACR and MQSA established practices and procedures. Compensation We are committed to providing compensation information for all open positions. Compensation for this role may be determined based on experience, education, and internal equity considerations. The wage range for this position is $39.48

Key Accountabilities Deliver excellent patient care by demonstrating compassion, thoroughly explaining procedures to patients, providing patient comfort, answering patient questions and completing exams in a timely manner Prepare patient for Imaging exams by reviewing provider orders and notes, confirming correct exam to be performed, accurately assessing patient's needs, positioning patient appropriately for exam and providing patient education. Perform quality exams by operating applicable Imaging equipment competently including data acquisition, image manipulation and reconstruction, and quality control measures to ensure optimal quality diagnostic images and monitoring patient throughout the exam. Maintain accurate patient records by completing correct and timely entries in all electronic health systems (i.e.
HIS/RIS, PHA, PACS
) and department specific programs. Practice accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work in a calm manner. Anticipates work to be done and seeks to assist others, maximizing productivity in both patient care and non-patient care departmental tasks. Stay current in the field by enhancing personal professional skills and knowledge through CEUs, self-study, research and dialogue, ensuring competency in all assigned exams.   • ARRT registration in Radiology and Mammography Must be enrolled in
NH+C RQI
program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment. Must remain current (complete quarterly assignments prior to the end of each calendar quarter). Initial Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) within six months. Workplace Violence education in New Employee Orientation and annually thereafter Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.   • Friday | 7:30 a.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.

m. Provides coverage for pre-scheduled absences, as well as additional department staffing needs. Casual staff are required to work a minimum of two shifts every two months.
