ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Manager of the Compliance Administration Team, you are responsible for providing leadership and oversight to a team of compliance administrators. In this role, you will foster a cohesive, high-performing team by directing daily workflow, promoting clear and effective communication, and demonstrating sound judgment and leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Coach, mentor, and motivate staff to evaluate and take actions that follow established practice standards leading to a consistent service model. You will provide day-to-day support to a team of Compliance Administrators, including a team lead with whom you will collaborate to identify team priorities and distribute workload effectively. Responsible for managing work volumes and monitoring overall team performance. You will engage with internal stakeholders as needed for project involvement or to address escalated issues. In some instances, you may also liaise directly with clients to resolve complex matters. Assure progress is made toward achieving all major goals and objectives within timelines established by working with staff in executing the plans. Actively engage in the success of Alerus Retirement and Benefits (ARB) and Alerus, promoting and supporting new and ongoing initiatives with positive active team involvement resulting in a successful outcome. Implement changes to standardize processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and effective client delivery.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
Bachelor's Degree in a business related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years' experience in defined contribution compliance administration, paired with at least two years of people leadership. QKA credential (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) is strongly recommended; candidates actively pursing the designation or with equivalent expertise will be considered. Demonstrated leadership experience, either through formal team management or by mentoring, training, or guiding peers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders. A mindset focused on continuous improvement, with a history of contributing to process enhancements or operations efficiency efforts. Ability to maintain professional working relationships with internal and external clients. Ability to work independently and set priorities. Ability to interpret documents and resolve technical problems. Intermediate of Microsoft Word and Excel.

BASE PAY
$95,000 - $105,000 based on level of experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office utilizing proper ergonomic safeguards when doing so. Additionally, the employee must occasionally lift or move supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.
