Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer in CPI's Georgetown, TX location. As a CPI Manufacturing Engineer, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world's digital technology. Day to day, you will, develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Your recommendations and implementations for improvements to production processes, methods, and controls is pivotal to the role. By joining the Operations department, you will take part in the continual improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Carries out process improvements, problem resolution, and project management. This includes coordination of the manufacturing launch for new products or enhancements to existing products. Lead the selection of new manufacturing equipment. Assists the Plant Manager and supporting leadership roles in improving production, standard operating procedures, safety and quality. In an individual and team collaboration setting, has the knowledge and ability to perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment. Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment, including managing facility renovations and expansions. Prepares capital and expense budgets for Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities. Executes projects to the budget plan throughout the year. Performs other related duties, as assigned by management. Technical Competencies BS in Engineering or equivalent. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing facility. Experience or knowledge of powder coating, fabrication or welding is highly desired. Proven track record in coaching, facilitating and leading teams in a fast paced, high growth, environment. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude. Physical/Environmental Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. to move file boxes, etc. as needed.
