Salary $16.90 - $19.02 Hourly Location 2635 Gold Bug Lane, Placerville Job Type Part-Time Job Number 202300110 Department Community Services Department Division Gold Bug Park & Mine Opening Date 07/28/2026 Closing Date 8/11/2026 5:00 PM Pacific Description This position is ideal for an individual interested in working with the public in a park setting. The Blacksmith Attendant must enjoy working with the public and it is helpful to have an interest in Blacksmithing as well as local history. A background in Blacksmithing is also beneficial. Training is provided by the City. Hours may very throughout the year. Duties Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and/or Blacksmith Coordinator, the Blacksmith Attendant is responsible for conducting group tours of the Blacksmith Shop, Blacksmithing, and providing information on the history of Blacksmithing.
Qualifications Age:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Must have some Blacksmithing experience.
Supplemental Information Seasonal:
April through October (7 days a week, 9:30 am-4:00 pm) November through March (Saturdays and Sundays only, 9:30 am-4:00 pm) This position is not eligible for benefits.
