Job Description
Custom Cabinet Painter / Finisher We are looking for an experienced Custom Cabinet Painter / Finisher to join our team. This position is focused on producing high-quality, professional finishes for custom cabinetry, doors, drawer fronts, panels, and other millwork. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, has excellent attention to detail, and understands the preparation and finishing process required to produce a smooth, durable, high-end cabinet finish. Responsibilities Prepare custom cabinets, doors, drawer fronts, and millwork for finishing Sand, clean, fill, caulk, and complete other surface preparation as needed Apply primers, paints, sealers, and other finishing products Spray cabinetry using professional spray equipment Produce smooth, consistent finishes without runs, drips, orange peel, overspray, or other defects Properly mix and prepare coatings according to product specifications Inspect finished pieces and complete touch-ups as needed Maintain spray equipment, tools, and finishing areas Protect completed cabinetry throughout the production process Work closely with the cabinet production team to meet quality standards and project schedules Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Qualifications Previous experience painting or finishing custom cabinetry, furniture, millwork, or similar wood products Professional spray-finishing experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of sanding and surface preparation Experience working with primers, paints, clear coats, and other wood-finishing products Ability to identify and correct finish imperfections Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and efficiently Dependable, punctual, and able to meet production schedules Comfortable working in a cabinet shop/production environment
