In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and woodwork for residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that each piece meets high standards of quality, precision, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from detailed trim carpentry to large-scale cabinetry installations, contributing to beautiful and functional living spaces. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about woodworking and construction. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately craft cabinetry and wood components. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking to cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinets and related fixtures. Measure spaces precisely to ensure proper fitment during installation of cabinets, doors, trim, siding, and fixtures. Install cabinetry, doors, molding, siding, and other woodwork on-site following safety standards and project specifications. Perform heavy lifting as needed to transport materials and assembled units safely around the job site. Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication and installation process to maintain high craftsmanship standards. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols such as power tool safety and rebar installation when applicable. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools for woodworking (e.g., drills, sanders). Experience with woodworking machines such as table saws, planers, routers, and sanders. Solid background in residential carpentry including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and remodeling. Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols. Ability to work with various wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods, siding materials, stucco components, mold remediation products or water damage restoration supplies when necessary. Experience in handling construction plans related to cabinetry or general carpentry projects. Knowledge of additional skills like plastering, caulking, tile laying or rebar installation is a plus for versatile project support. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces on-site. Handyman experience or restoration industry background enhances adaptability across diverse tasks such as mold remediation or siding repair.
