Cabinet Installer Williams Millwork Company Des Moines, IA Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Tools provided Qualifications Customer communication Trim carpentry Field service Power tools for woodworking High school diploma or GED Driver's License Attention to detail Full Job Description Cabinet Installer Middle River Cabinetry & Millwork Middle River is looking for an experienced cabinetry/millwork installer, able to both run their own installs and work alongside other lead installers to perform site installations. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working with their hands, and understands that the finishing details make all the difference. As a Cabinet Installer, you will work primarily in homes and/or commercial properties installing custom cabinetry, millwork, trim, and related components. You'll work closely with our shop and project teams to ensure each installation meets our standards and provides the finished look our customers expect. Responsibilities Install custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, built-ins, closets, bars, and other cabinetry Install trim, moldings, panels, fillers, hardware, and other finishing components l Read and understand drawings, measurements, and installation plans Accurately measure, level, adjust, and secure cabinetry Make necessary field modifications and adjustments during installation l Identify and communicate job-site or installation issues Coordinate with project managers, contractors, homeowners, and other trades when necessary Protect customers' homes and finished surfaces while working Maintain a clean and organized job site Load, unload, and safely transport cabinetry, tools, and materials Complete installations efficiently while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship Qualifications Previous cabinet installation, finish carpentry, trim carpentry, or construction experience preferred Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Comfortable using hand tools and power tools Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work from drawings Good problem-solving skills and ability to make adjustments in the field Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Professional and respectful when working in customers' homes and commercial properties Ability to lift and maneuver cabinets and materials weighing 50+ lbs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to travel to job sites as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands that a great installation is about more than simply putting cabinets in place. Our installers represent Middle River in our customers' homes, so we're looking for someone who communicates well, respects the customer's property, pays attention to the small details, and takes pride in leaving behind a finished product they can be proud of.
