Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Cabinetmaker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for building & installing with precision and craftsmanship, custom cabinetry for distinctive upscale residential properties throughout Nantucket. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality residential projects, ensuring every piece meets exact specifications and client expectations. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and install cabinetry and components. Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and large industrial woodworking machines to cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components. Measure spaces precisely to ensure proper fitment of cabinets, trim, and other woodwork elements. Install cabinetry, fixtures, doors, moldings, and other related components on residential sites. Maintains a clean, safe, non-smoking environment Collaborate with project & site managers to ensure specifications are met Qualifications Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Fluent reading & speaking English Proven experience in cabinetmaking (5yrs in a shop) with a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, residential carpentry, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects. Proficient with hand tools (saws, chisels), power tools for woodworking (drills, sanders), Table saws, planers & jointers etc. CNC machine experience a bonus. Experience working with various grained plywoods & solid woods is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately for precise fabrication and installation. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Communicates well and helps meet deadlines. Knowledge of construction site safety standards including power tool safety practices.
