This role is responsible for creating, assembling, and repairing exhibits, booths, cabinets and related components. The builder will complete work submitted through work orders according to established processes while consistently meeting the shop quality and safety standards. What you'll do: Interpret design drawings, CAD files, and specifications to plan and execute fabrication from concept through set-up to a show ready exhibit. Build structural frameworks, display cases, Interactive components, platforms, and scenic elements using wood, metal, plastics, composites materials, acrylic, and many other types of materials. Crosstrain across multiple production areas and perform precision fabricating techniques including cutting, welding, machining, finishing painting, laminating, lighting and assembly. Construct and set-up exhibits on-site, ensuring proper alignment, structural integrity, electrical/ mechanical integration (where applicable), and compliance with accessibility and safety standards. Maintain tools, equipment, and an organized work area while strictly following all shop safety protocols. Deliver work that meets or exceeds client expectations for quality, craftsmanship, and reliability. What we'd love to see: Proficiency in construction and cabinetry skills, proficient in the use of all hand and power tools At least one (5) to three (10) years' experience in exhibit production or cabinet making High School diploma Ability to work in a team environment as well as being accountable for individual performance; ability to work under tight deadlines, commitment to highest quality standards
