Woodworker/Cabinet Maker (Direct Hire) $18
  • 30/hr.
DOE Days:
7.00 am
  • 4.30 pm Mon.
  • Thursday, and 7.00 am
  • 11.
00 am on Friday.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Woodworker and Solid Surface Fabricator for a direct hire position within our manufacturing team in Wyoming MN. Company specializes in both traditional woodworking for custom cabinetry and specialized techniques for solid surface materials (e.g., Corian, HI-MACS). The right candidate/s must have at least three years of experience and be able to pay close attention to details, with the ability to multi-task and enjoy working with others. Company is also willing to train the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly:
Learn to safely and accurately cut, shape, and assemble both wood components (cabinetry, millwork) and solid surface materials into finished products.
Reading Blueprints:
Interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications provided by our design team (training provided as needed).
Operating Machinery:
Safely operate a variety of woodworking and fabrication machinery and hand tools, adhering strictly to all safety protocols.
Finishing & Seaming:
Learn specialized techniques to sand, polish, and assemble solid surfaces and prepare wood products for finishing.
Quality Control & Safety:
Ensure all fabricated components meet precise dimensions and quality standards within the production environment.
Collaboration:
Work efficiently within the fabrication shop to meet production schedules and quality targets set by project managers.
Qualifications:
Experienced Candidates:
Proven experience in a commercial millwork environment with expertise in woodworking and/or solid surface fabrication is highly preferred.
Motivated Beginners:
We encourage applicants without prior factory experience who possess a strong work ethic, a desire to learn a skilled trade, and a belief that continuous improvement is vital to good business. Proficiency in reading tape measures and performing basic mathematical calculations. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage tasks in a deadline-oriented production environment. Physical ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
