This role assists with measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, sanding, and finishing wood materials while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safe workshop practices. Common Job Roles Custom Woodworking Associate Custom Woodworker Woodworking Associate Woodshop Production Associate Woodcraft Production Technician Key Responsibilities Measure, mark, cut, and prepare wood materials for custom projects Operate woodworking tools and equipment safely and efficiently Assist with assembling wood components, fixtures, and custom products Sand, smooth, stain, seal, and finish wood surfaces as required Read and follow measurements, work orders, drawings, and project specifications Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy Organize lumber, hardware, tools, and other workshop materials Assist with material handling, inventory, and project staging Maintain clean, organized, and safe woodworking work areas Report material defects, equipment issues, or production concerns to supervisors Follow company quality-control and workplace safety procedures Perform additional woodworking and production duties assigned by management Requirements Previous woodworking, carpentry, furniture, cabinetmaking, construction, or manufacturing experience is an asset but not required Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and materials Strong measurement and attention-to-detail skills Ability to safely lift, carry, and move wood materials Ability to follow instructions and project specifications Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn Preferred Skills Experience using saws, drills, sanders, routers, and measuring tools Knowledge of wood types, joinery, and finishing techniques Strong craftsmanship and quality-control abilities Good organization and time management skills Strong teamwork and communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a production team About the Company A&H Turf & Specialties supports specialty product and service operations, focusing on quality materials, organized production, and dependable customer service.
