Job Description

Position Summary The Installer will specialize in the installation of cabinetry in residential and commercial settings. The Installer will possess a blend of technical expertise and aesthetic sensibilities, ensuring that cabinets are not only functional and securely fitted but also visually appealing and in harmony with the overall design of the space. This position will have proficiency with interpreting cabinet drawings, understanding architectural nuances, and selecting the right tools and materials to execute their tasks to the highest standard. The Installer will be precise with measurements and have the ability to adapt to the unique conditions of each job site. The Installer must also be adept at troubleshooting any challenges that arise during the installation process, whether related to spatial constraints, structural issues, or inconsistencies in materials. The Installer will collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and interior designers, requiring strong communication skills and a cooperative approach to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Installing custom cabinetry in residential and commercial spaces. Precise fitting and positioning of cabinets, ensuring alignment with architectural software drawings and design plans. Measuring spaces accurately, cutting materials to required dimensions, and assembling cabinetry with the use of various tools. Handle tasks such as removing old cabinetry, making adjustments or custom modifications, and performing finishing touches. Conduct yourself with integrity and professionalism at all times. Identify opportunities to improve processes or efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Vocational school for cabinet installation or previous apprenticeship preferred
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in cabinet installation or carpentry or willingness to learn Technical skills: ability to understand design schematics Attention to detail and pride in completed pieces Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Key Skills & Competencies Problem-solving Time management Communication Attention to detail Team collaboration Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, various smells, bright lights, and dust. Exposure to sawdust in diverse environments, often including treated lumber or manufactured woods (plywood, MDF) containing binders. Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
