Full Job Description Job Summar y Cabinet Depot is seeking a dependable and motivated Finishing Assistant to join our cabinet paint shop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to learn the skilled trade of professional cabinet finishing.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare cabinet orders for painting and finishing
  • Sand, clean, mask, and organize cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and components
  • Inspect materials for damage or surface imperfections
  • Assist with primer, paint, stain, and finishing preparation
  • Keep the paint shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized
  • Help move, label, package, and protect completed cabinet orders
  • Follow all workplace and paint-shop safety procedures
  • Support experienced cabinet finishers as needed No professional cabinet-finishing experience is required.
Cabinet Depot will provide hands-on training and allow the successful applicant to learn valuable skills in cabinet preparation, painting, staining, and professional finishing techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work
  • Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift cabinet components
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Previous experience with painting, woodworking, cabinetry, construction, or automotive finishing is helpful but not required This position offers the opportunity to grow with Cabinet Depot while learning a valuable trade in a professional cabinet-finishing environment.
