This role is responsible for measuring materials, operating woodworking tools and equipment, assembling cabinet components, and ensuring finished products meet quality and project specifications. Common Job Roles Cabinet Woodworker Cabinet Maker Cabinet Carpenter Custom Cabinet Builder Woodworking Specialist Key Responsibilities Build and assemble cabinets and custom wood components Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare wood and related materials Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and project specifications Operate woodworking tools and equipment safely and efficiently Assemble cabinet doors, drawers, frames, panels, and hardware Sand, finish, and prepare cabinetry for installation Inspect completed work for accuracy, fit, finish, and quality Assist with cabinet installation and adjustments when required Maintain organized tools, materials, and woodworking work areas Identify material or production issues and report them to supervisors Follow workplace safety procedures and company quality standards Perform additional carpentry and woodworking duties assigned by management Requirements Ability to accurately read measurements and follow project specifications Basic knowledge of hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials safely Preferred Skills Experience building custom or residential cabinetry Knowledge of woodworking materials, hardware, and finishing techniques Ability to use saws, drills, sanders, routers, and other woodworking equipment Strong measuring, cutting, and assembly skills Good problem-solving and quality-control abilities Familiarity with cabinet installation and adjustment Commitment to producing high-quality finished work About the Company MTI Carpentry provides carpentry and woodworking services focused on quality craftsmanship and practical custom wood solutions.
