Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Woodworker/Road Case Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and repairing custom road cases and wooden structures that meet precise specifications. Your craftsmanship will ensure the durability and functionality of cases used for transporting sensitive equipment, as well as contribute to various fabrication projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your woodworking expertise in a fast-paced environment where quality and attention to detail are paramount. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately build custom road cases and wooden structures. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, including saws, drills, sanders, and other fabrication equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood components with precision to create durable, high-quality cases that meet client specifications. Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to ensure all products meet safety standards and design requirements. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to power tool safety guidelines and proper handling of wood construction materials. Collaborate with team members on projects involving restoration, remodeling, or custom fabrication to deliver exceptional results on time. Requirements Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers; familiarity with power tools for woodworking including drills, sanders, routers, and saws. Construction estimating skills are a plus for understanding project scope and material needs. Experience in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing. Familiarity with woodworking machines like table saws or planers is advantageous.
