In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry work with precision and efficiency. You will operate woodworking machinery and equipment, as well as identify areas of improvement. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for creating custom wood products, such as cabinetry, beams, walls, and moulding. You should have excellent craftsmanship skills and the ability to work independently and with various materials. Duties Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute woodworking projects. Operate CNC machinery, power tools, hand tools and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components. Handle heavy lifting of materials and completed products while maintaining safety protocols on the shop floor. Perform routing preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical failures. Assemble products according to provided specifications. Conduct quality control checks inspections to ensure the products meet standards. Adhere to safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times. Produce, craft, and test wood products such as beams, moulding, and furniture using specialized tools. Establish a culture of respect, hard work, consistency and effective communication with all team members. Requirements Proven experience in carpentry with a focus on millwork fabrication. Must have 3-5 years experience in casework/millwork Experience in blueprint reading for accurate project planning Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment Forklift certification a plus Extensive experience working in a warehouse environment Skilled in using hand tools (saws, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders, CNC machines) for fabrication and assembly Ability to perform heavy lifting of raw materials and be able to stand for prolonged periods Ability to communicate with others, especially verbally
Pay:
