Project Manager - Cabinet Specialist-Installation (Hospitality, Multi-Family & Student Housing) Company Description Smarter Furnishings has been a trusted partner in providing high-quality furniture solutions for over 30 years. Role Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager/Cabinet Specialist with extensive commercial/contract cabinet and solid-surface product knowledge to oversee large-scale cabinet installation projects for hospitality (hotels & resorts), multi-family apartment complexes and student housing facilities. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact working closely with our sales consultants, our Sourcing dept, customers, site managers, and installation crews. Understanding of reading blueprints and schedules while being able to provide detailed product specifications, working with sourcing & sales consultants on bids/pricing while also ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget.Key Requirements Product knowledge:
Must have extensive knowledge of commercial/contract cabinets as well as solid-surface countertop materials. Must have extensive knowledge of understanding of blueprints & schedules. Understanding of bidding platforms (example: Building Connected) a plus. Must have extensive experience working with GC's & trades & project managment, job-site oversight. Project Coordination Act as the liaison between customers, our manufacturing teams, site managers, and installation teams. Serve as the cabinet and countertop subject matter expert working with the sales team to ensure all orders meet customer specifications. Schedule and coordinate field measurements, delivery timelines, and installation activities to meet the customer's construction timeline. Manage communication flow to ensure all stakeholders are aligned. Site Management Conduct on-site visits to verify field measurements and installation readiness. Identify and resolve potential issues before they impact timelines or quality. Ensure compliance with safety standards and site-specific requirements. Customer Interaction Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and problem-solving. Provide updates on project progress and address concerns promptly. Documentation & Reporting Prepare and maintain project documentation, including measurement reports, change orders, and installation checklists within company systems. Track project milestones and report status to internal leadership. Qualifications Experience 3+ years in project management or field coordination within construction, millwork, cabinetry, and countertops. Technical Knowledge Understanding of cabinet and countertop specifications, installation processes, site logistics, and construction and cabinet terminology. Skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. Willingness to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Familiarity with hospitality, multi-family, or student housing projects. Proficiency in project management software. Knowledge of installation best practices and troubleshooting.Benefits:
