- Team/Field Lead We are looking for an experienced carpenter that has worked in the trade for a minimum of 5-7 years.
This is a person looking for an opportunity to work in a no-drama environment with a lot of help and support. Our culture is huge here, and we have eachother's backs. If you're tired of the toxic personalities that tend to be in our industry, this is the place for you. This person will lead our more complex builds, and offer mentorship to our younger installers. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, high standards, a high skill level, and excellent on site problem solving skills and creativity. Pay will reflect the level of skill and leadership you bring to the table. Core Responsibilities Ensure job is installed with the highest level of quality and customer service in the industry. Drive the job to completion. Solve problems and be resourceful. Display confidence and competence to clients. Excellent communication with Client, Office/GM, and Shop throughout the day. Ensure you and your team completely understands the engineering of a job and what to expect on site. Excellent documentation of the status of your project. Mentor and train less experienced installers. Daily Duties Review job with GM/Designer and fully understand the project before leaving the shop. Check "Job Stack" for completeness prior to loading. Load "Job Stack" and all required tools carefully. Lead communication with customer by texting/calling with an ETA (always). Upon arrival, walk them through the process and answer any questions they have. Unload and begin building. Directing the assistant along the way to keep the process moving. Upon completion, walk through with the assistant to check for quality and address any items that need attention. Walk customer through the space and answer any questions they have. Get client signature. For jobs that are on-going, and for any unanticipated follow up, document the status and the details of what's needed, dimensions, time required etc. Update GM on status of the job. Return complete file to GM/Office. Discuss any follow up work in person if able. Review jobs for next day and clean/organize van before leaving.
Weekly / Bi
-weekly / Monthly Duties Re-stock van as necessary. Maintain van as necessary (oil change, tires, lights, etc.) Meet with GM/Designers/Owner periodically to review upcoming projects and status of ongoing projects Maintain tools as necessary and communicate to GM if anything needs to be replaced or repaired.
