Job Overview Fin Cabinetry & Furniture is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Engineer specializing in custom commercial and residential cabinetry, architectural millwork, and furniture manufacturing . This position is responsible for transforming architectural plans and design concepts into accurate, production-ready shop drawings, CNC-ready programs, and detailed manufacturing documentation. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience in the custom cabinetry or millwork industry and is proficient in Microvellum, Mozaik, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Monday.com . This individual will work closely with project managers, designers, production staff, and installers to ensure projects are engineered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This is a fast-paced position requiring excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, woodworking materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Create detailed production-ready shop drawings for custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, and custom furniture. Engineer projects from architectural drawings, interior design plans, and field measurements into manufacturable components. Utilize Microvellum and Mozaik to design cabinetry and generate CNC-ready manufacturing files. Program CNC routers and nesting software for efficient production while minimizing material waste. Produce cut lists, machining files, assembly drawings, hardware schedules, and installation drawings. Review architectural drawings, specifications, elevations, and finish schedules to ensure complete and accurate production documents. Coordinate with Project Managers, Production Managers, and Install Teams to resolve design conflicts before fabrication. Perform drawing revisions based on RFIs, change orders, field dimensions, and customer requests. Create detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for purchasing and manufacturing. Ensure all engineering documents comply with AWI standards, project specifications, and company quality standards. Utilize Bluebeam for PDF markups, plan reviews, quantity takeoffs, and drawing coordination. Manage engineering tasks, schedules, and project communication through Monday.com . Collaborate with production personnel to improve manufacturing efficiency and streamline workflows. Assist with process improvements and standardization of cabinet construction methods. Support field installation teams by providing technical assistance and resolving engineering-related issues. Required Qualifications 2-5 years of experience engineering custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, commercial casework, or custom furniture. Advanced proficiency in Microvellum and/or Mozaik . Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD . Experience using Bluebeam Revu for construction document review and markups. Experience managing engineering tasks using Monday.com or similar project management software. Experience programming CNC routers and generating machine-ready files. Thorough understanding of cabinet construction, joinery methods, woodworking materials, hardware, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, finish schedules, and project specifications. Strong experience creating detailed shop drawings with a heavy emphasis on production accuracy and manufacturability. Knowledge of woodworking machinery, CNC manufacturing processes, and commercial millwork production. Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial millwork projects including healthcare, hospitality, education, corporate offices, retail, and multifamily construction. Familiarity with AWI Quality Standards and commercial millwork specifications. Experience coordinating with architects, general contractors, and interior designers. Knowledge of laminate, veneer, solid surface, quartz, and specialty material fabrication. Understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory management, and production scheduling. Experience with Kaizenify, Knowify, or ERP/manufacturing software is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Occasionally walk through active manufacturing and warehouse environments. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a company vehicle while towing a trailer when required. Pay:
$25.82 - $45.00 per hour
