We offer client design and fabrication services anchored with the leading brands in the outdoor/action sports industry. Job Summary BUiLT Design is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Wood Fabricator/ Cabinet Maker position. This is NOT an entry level position. Projects range from the production of retail display components, custom trade show exhibit elements, to custom cabinetry to fabrication and installation of full retail environments both locally and globally. The ideal candidate is someone with a diverse skill set in a variety of woods, plastics and laminates, metal experience is a plus. The responsibilities of this position are varied, dependent upon the skill and experience of the individual. This position requires you to be a fast learner and self-starter and capable of working on 5-10 concurrent projects. A keen eye for detail and perception of quality is essential. An ability to balance an artisan approach to design and craftsmanship and the realities of production for retail environments is a must to keep projects on time and budget. There is a lot of room for growth within our company, and we are looking for truly talented and experienced craftsman.
Key Responsibilities:
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Apply problem-solving skills in a production and fabrication setting Knowledge of materials such as MDF, Acrylic, wood, and various substrates Demonstrate strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools commonly used in cabinetry Basic computer literacy (CAD/CAM opportunities available) Read and interpret shop detail drawings and measurements accurately Take direction well while also working independently and efficiently Ability to clearly communicate problems or discrepancies immediately Help ensure that the work of all builders on the project is proceeding correctly and efficiently Possess the ability to prioritize your day and change directions at a moment's notice due to business needs Communicate the status of the work and the schedule that will be required for completion to the shop lead Follow shop best-practice standards, quality control, and safety procedures Maintain our design/fabrication quality standard and the integrity of the design. Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift) Must be able to lift 50 lbs Offer guidance to less experienced builders Assist with receiving and distributing materials
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in cabinetry, woodworking, construction, millwork, or a related skilled trade Familiarity with shop environments, production workflows, and material handling Work Schedule Normal shop hours: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Occasional overtime and/or weekend work required during peak seasons To Apply Please apply via Indeed only (do not call or stop by).
