About Us Captain's Custom Shop is a growing custom cabinetry and architectural millwork company in Kingston, WA. We serve residential and commercial clients across the Pacific Northwest, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology including CNC machining and advanced edge banding. We're proud members of CMA, KBA, BIAW, and NAHB. The Role We're hiring a cabinetmaker and woodworker to be our primary shop team member. You'll build custom cabinets, furniture, and millwork from raw material to finished product — and assist with on-site installations and finish carpentry as projects require. This role has a clear growth path into CNC operation and design. We're happy to train the right person. What You'll Do

• Build custom cabinets, furniture, floating shelves, built-ins, and architectural millwork
• Operate standard shop machinery: table saw, miter saw, jointer, planer, router, domino joiner, edge bander, and hand tools
• Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and project plans
• Assist with on-site installations, finish carpentry, and trim work
• Learn to program and operate our CNC router (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, organized shop following our 5S and lean manufacturing standards What We're Looking For
• Required:
• 2+ years of cabinetmaking, furniture making, or fine woodworking experience
• Proficiency with standard woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Ability to read technical drawings and cut lists
• Comfortable with basic computer use
• Willingness to learn CNC operation and related software
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Preferred (not required):
• CNC router experience in a woodworking environment
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Mozaik, Cabinet Vision, VCarve, or similar)
• Finish carpentry or trim installation experience
• Experience with edge banding equipment
• Design experience or interest in learning Compensation
• Skilled Cabinetmaker (2-4 yrs):
• $25•$28/hr•Experienced Cabinetmaker (5+ yrs):•$28•$32/hr•Cabinetmaker +

CNC/Design Experience:

• $32•$35/hr Wage increases tied to skill development and CNC proficiency milestones.
