Essential Functions The Sheet Metal Roofer uses tools and equipment to fabricate building components and assemble those components into a finished system at the project site, in accordance with company policies and procedures. These duties include but are not limited to: Bending and shearing equipment to brake. Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Selecting appropriate materials and tools for each project. Assembling fabricated components to create final products. Measure, fabricate, and install sheet metal materials. Work with materials such as light gauge steel, aluminum and copper Quality installation of roof-related coping, gutters, and flashings Quality installation of metal wall panels and standing seam metal roofing. Ensuring the quality and accuracy of finished product. Installation of sheet metal components into building. Qualifications A Sheet Metal Roofer must work as a team and be able to perform all the duties listed above. As well as having 1-4 yrs. of sheet metal roofing experience, be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to follow directions. As well as being able to lift 50 lbs., work at various heights and on ladders, hold a valid driver's license, have a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
