Chemical OperatorLocation:

Industry:
Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing Sirius Staffing is seeking Chemical Operators to join a production team in Birmingham. In this role, you will be responsible for operating basic processing equipment, supporting maintenance and installations, and maintaining precise operational parameters. You will work within strict quality, safety, and environmental standards to ensure smooth, efficient manufacturing operations. Benefits Offered + PTO & Holiday Pay Shift Schedule & HoursThis position operates on a quarterly rotating day/night schedule, including weekend and holiday coverage as required. Average workweek is 40-44 hours.

Once fully trained, candidates will move to the swing rotation:

Day Shift (3 Months): Monday
  • Thursday (7:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM) + Friday (7:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM)Night Shift (3 Months): Sunday (7:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM) + Monday
  • Thursday (5:00 PM
  • 3:00 AM)Rotation repeats quarterly.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperating equipment and carrying out routine manufacturing tasks by following batch sheets and standard operating proceduresAssisting with equipment setup, preparation, routine maintenance, and repair work under strict guidelinesExecuting tasks within established quality management standards to ensure product specifications are metFollowing mandatory safety instructions, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintaining compliance with environmental regulationsReviewing and completing operational reports, logging process data, and adhering to compliance rulesParticipating in team planning, risk assessments, and training to support continuous process safety Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDHands-on experience in a manufacturing, plant, or chemical process environment with the ability to work unsupervised once trainedClear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to log data and follow guidance from supervisorsPractical understanding of plant safety systems, hazard identification, and risk management in a production settingAbility to manage time, prioritize daily tasks, and adapt to operational schedules with general guidanceStrong commitment to following rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
