Job Description

General Purpose / Objective eJoule is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer/Technician to support the R&D of advanced cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The successful candidate will primarily work in a wet lab environment on cathode powder synthesis, process optimization, and material characterization . This position will involve hands-on laboratory and process development work, with a strong focus on powder processing Process Engineer Job Objectives Conduct cathode powder materials synthesis. Prepare chemical solutions and raw materials according to established procedures and experimental plans. Support development and optimization of powder synthesis processes, including process parameters, reaction conditions, heat treatment, and post-processing. Operate laboratory and pilot-scale powder processing equipment. Characterize synthesized materials using techniques such as particle size analysis, XRD, SEM, and other powder characterization methods. Collect, organize, analyze, and summarize experimental and process data. Support troubleshooting of material quality and process-related issues. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on laboratory experience working in a wet lab. Experience preparing and handling chemical solutions and raw materials. Familiarity with material characterization techniques such as particle size analysis, XRD, SEM, or similar methods. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cathode active materials or other powder processing equipment. Basic understanding of lithium-ion battery cathode materials and their performance requirements. Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Ability to work regularly in laboratory, pilot-scale, and chemical manufacturing environments, including standing or walking for extended periods and lifting or moving materials and equipment up to 40 lbs (18 kg) .
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals, powders, raw materials, and process equipment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, footwear, and respirators when required.
  • May be exposed to powder or dust, heat, noise, chemical odors, and other conditions typical of a chemical manufacturing or pilot production environment.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $99,742.40 per year
