Job Summary Uyemura International Corporation (UIC), a specialty chemical manufacturer of plating chemistries, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Chemical Operator . This position is primarily responsible for operating production equipment and manufacturing chemical batches according to written procedures. Additional responsibilities may include receiving materials, warehouse activities, and performing inventory counts, depending on operational needs. Essential Functions Operate equipment, including tanks, pumps, valves, hoses, and other production equipment, to manufacture chemical batches according to established procedures and operating instructions. Measure quantities of liquid and solid chemicals using scales, flow meters, and other measuring equipment, and transfer materials into production tanks. Locate materials in the warehouse and transport materials to and from manufacturing areas using a forklift. Collect process samples and coordinate with laboratory personnel for testing and analysis. Maintain accurate production and equipment records, including batch tickets, log sheets, and equipment inspection checklists. Package, mark, and label finished products and shipping containers. Receive incoming materials and assist with unloading, verification, and movement of materials to designated storage locations. Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records. Assist with general warehouse activities as required. Operate a forklift as applicable. Follow all company, plant, environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Two or more years of applicable work experience preferred; experience in chemical manufacturing is highly desirable. Experience handling hazardous materials is preferred. Excellent attention to detail is required to ensure product quality, accurate documentation, and safe chemical handling. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, including calculations involving units of weight and volume. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include a respirator. Familiarity with shipping, receiving, warehouse practices, inventory control, and work orders is preferred. Familiarity with barcode scanning systems is preferred. Forklift experience is preferred. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to regularly lift and move containers and materials weighing up to 60 pounds . Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements as required for manufacturing and warehouse activities. Ability to safely handle and move chemical containers and materials using appropriate equipment. Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing and warehouse environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, safety footwear, and a respirator. Ability to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment, as applicable. Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:40 p.m.
