Job Description
We are seeking an Instrument and Electrical Senior Technician to join our team! You will maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, electrical equipment, PLC's and DCS control system in a continuously operated chemical plant. The hourly rate for this role starts at $27 per hour, based on experience!
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and automation equipment Maintain and repair motors, starters, drives, low-to-medium-to-high voltage systems, and instrumentation throughout the entire plant. Perform maintenance on equipment that monitors flow, temperature, density, pressure, ph/ORP, conductivity, level Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Install conduit and connect wires to circuit breakers, contactors, instruments, or other electrical or electronic components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes. Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, instrument using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, amp meter, megger, to ensure compatibility and safety of all systems. Operate a man lift and forkliftKnowledge & Qualifications:
Instrument and electrical certificate or trade school equivalent required. Three years of experience in industrial instrument and electrical repair - required High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in instrumentation, distributive control system (DCS), and programmable logic controllers (PLC's), including modifying program logic. Good computer skills. Team-oriented, flexible and able to work with minimal supervision. Proficient in reading electrical and instrument schematics, manuals, and P&ID's. Proficient in using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting instruments and equipment (Voltmeter, Amper-meter, mA Generator, Oscilloscope, Megger). Working knowledge of HVAC equipment. Knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards.Excellent Benefits Package:
