Overview:
We are seeking a Production Technician with experience working in a vialing, labeling and/or packaging environment. As a Production Technician, you will perform tasks and administrative aspects regarding packaging operations according to department procedures, specifications or work instructions. This includes starting up/breaking down operations, clearing operations areas, calculating component usage, verifying counts of products in and out of operations, and visual inspections of products for defects. Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
Performing equipment setup, operation, re-supply, documentation, cleaning, minor equipment adjustments and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet standards for safety, quality and efficiency Moving, storing and inventorying supplies according to department specifications Understanding the source of products and associated chemical and biosafety hazards Completing tasks within instruction-defined time frames Creating legible written records within procedure/work instruction-defined time frames Counting accurately products received, handled, labeled and packaged Calculating accurately manufacture components received, used, rejected or returned Following applicable laboratory OSHA safety regulations with respect to chemical hazards, blood-borne pathogens, etc. Understanding FDA regulations and ISO standards applicable to department operations and consequences of nonconformance Completing all training and qualification requirements Communicating line status from shift to shift to assure all safety, quality and efficiency objectives are achieved Production Technician (Manufacturing Production)
Qualifications:
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position: High School Diploma OR GED (General Education Diploma) required Associates Degree in Life Science, Engineering or Automation field, preferred Experience working in an aseptic (clean room) environment, preferred Ability to constantly use hands to place product on and remove product from wheel and visually check product Ability to use ladder to reach product/supplies Ability to maneuver Serum carts weighing approximately 700 pounds in and out of coolers Ability to stand over intervals of several hours at a time Ability to check for defects, check fill levels, and identify and distinguish between colors to help verify dropper assembly Production Technician (Manufacturing Production)
