Our assistant technicians typically begin their work at 6:00 AM at our warehouse in Batavia. They are paired with lead technicians and follow a daily work assignment that involves traveling to customer sites throughout the Chicagoland area. The work includes servicing, repairing, and replacing all aspects of dock equipment for commercial and industrial buildings.

• Job Requirements ○ A valid driver's license with no major violations and a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years is required (CDL preferred but not always required depending on vehicle size) ○ Experience in commercial or construction driving is a plus ○ Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with hand and power tools ○ Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and load securement ○ Ability to operate trailers, lifts, and other material handling equipment ○ Strong organizational and time management skills ○ Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly, safely move over uneven terrain or in confined spaces ○ Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) correctly much of the workday ○ Ability to work in varying climates ○ Perform emergency service outside of normal hours ○ Travel out of state for work • Training Expectations & Progression ○ Initial training via field work as an Assistant Field Technician ○ Absorb as much information and skills as possible during field work ○ Assess aptitude and fulfillment of field responsibilities during training ○ Probationary performance reviews at 30 days, 90 days and 1 year • Core Benefits {Eligible on 1st of the next month following 60 days) ○ Comprehensive medical, dental and vision.
