Responsibilities Operate chemical processing equipment and material handling systems following manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. Handle and transfer industrial chemicals safely using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and chemical-resistant gear. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, chemical usage, and equipment operation in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). Conduct routine inspections of machinery, piping, and storage tanks to identify potential issues and perform basic troubleshooting or escalate as needed. Support packaging, labeling, and material handling processes to ensure efficient workflow and regulatory compliance. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely while adhering to all safety standards for warehouse operations. Requirements Proven experience in pharmaceutical or industrial chemical manufacturing environments, with familiarity working within GMP or CGMP standards. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on processing equipment. Strong understanding of industrial chemical handling procedures and safety protocols including PPE usage and respiratory protection. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements, conversions, and quality checks. Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely. Knowledge of manufacturing SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to pharmaceutical production. Laboratory experience or familiarity with laboratory procedures related to chemical analysis is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence in all tasks performed.
