Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the safety and integrity of medical instruments and equipment within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of sterile processing procedures, infection prevention standards, and medical terminology. This role is vital in maintaining a sterile environment, supporting surgical teams, and upholding the highest standards of patient safety. The technician will be responsible for the proper decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical devices, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and healthcare quality. Job Description Must Have Technical/Functional Skills 2+ years' experience with laboratory equipment such as: sterilizers, ultrasonics, auto washer Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Must be highly detail-oriented and customer-focused Self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a team Experience working in a highly regulated industry Roles & Responsibilities Read C&S protocols and procedures and understand the terminology of the process Initiate and monitor the life cycle of C&S processes Move devices through ultrasonic, auto washers and autoclaves as directed by protocols Inspect devices for visual defects or differences after washing Record and enter data in Excel spreadsheets and written reports Periodically execute batch making of regularly used cleaning solutions Develop your skills by cross training in other lab spaces (e.g., mechanical, materials, etc.) Read procedures on and understand how to operate the lab equipment Troubleshoot and fix errors on the lab equipment Identify if other technicians are following procedures correctly Ability to change or replace chemicals on machines and stations Communicate with clients/engineers effectively both written and verbal Multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work with client on shifting deadlines and priorities Other duties as assigned.
