Chemical Blending Operator Ques Industries Inc - 3.2 Brook Park, OH Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Basic math Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Computer skills Chemical safety protocols Respirator Full Job Description Job Summary The Chemical Blending Operator is responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, and blending raw materials to create chemical products according to specific formulations and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Follow blending formulas and batch tickets to prepare chemical mixtures. Safely operate mixing and blending equipment (tanks, pumps, agitators, etc.). Weigh and measure raw materials using scales and other measuring devices. Load and unload raw materials and finished products. Monitor blending process to ensure consistency and product quality. Record production data including batch numbers, weights, lot numbers, and other relevant information. Use forklifts or pallet jacks to transport materials. Maintain cleanliness and organization of blending area and equipment. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations including use of PPE. Report equipment malfunctions, spills, or safety incidents to supervisor immediately. Assist with inventory control and raw material storage. Collaborate with Quality Control and other departments to resolve product issues. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in chemical blending, mixing, or manufacturing preferred. Ability to read and interpret batch tickets, SDSs, and technical documents. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks. Basic math and computer skills required. Forklift certification is a plus. Willingness to work in an environment with exposure to chemicals and odors and commitment to wearing PPE. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, noise, and moving machinery. Working in elevated spaces and uneven terrain. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, such as gloves, goggles, and respirators. May require overtime and shift work depending on production needs.
