Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and on-time delivery of products. This role leads production team members while coordinating maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production staff to meet production targets. Monitor workflow, productivity, and equipment performance to optimize operational efficiency. Lead and support a production workforce of up to 30 employees in a unionized environment. Coordinate with maintenance teams to prioritize repairs and minimize production downtime. Enforce safety procedures and maintain compliance with company safety standards. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, delays, and bottlenecks. Monitor inventory and production schedules to support uninterrupted operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements. Support operational excellence through effective communication and team leadership.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience working with maintenance teams and equipment troubleshooting. Experience leading employees in a unionized manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and safety standards. Experience with inventory management and production planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Kaizen experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) experience. Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or relevant certification. Previous experience in high-volume assembly or manufacturing operations. #LI-JV1
