Lead Carpet Cleaning Technician

Experienced Carpet & Rug Cleaning Technician We are seeking an experienced carpet and rug cleaning technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, professionalism, and delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience, technical knowledge of cleaning systems and chemistry, and the ability to work independently while representing our company with professionalism. What We're Looking For A successful technician will: Bring extensive hands-on experience in carpet and rug cleaning Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of cleaning equipment, fibers, and chemistry Maintain excellent organization and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Deliver professional, friendly, and confident interactions with clients Understand workflow patterns and adapt customer service style to each client Show reliability and professionalism — being present, punctual, and prepared every day Clearly communicate service details and recommendations to customers Apply problem-solving skills, technical understanding, and physical capability in daily work Take pride in contributing to a company that values quality, reputation, and long-term success Daily Responsibilities Technicians are responsible for delivering exceptional service from start to finish, including: Communicating with clients and staff via phone, email, and in-person interactions Performing professional carpet, upholstery, and rug cleaning services Safely preparing carpets and surfaces for cleaning Applying pre-conditioners, deodorizers, and protectants correctly Operating and maintaining professional cleaning equipment Maintaining a clean, organized service vehicle Managing inventory of spotting agents, chemicals, and equipment Following company safety standards and procedures Processing payments in the field Occasionally assisting in the rug cleaning facility (rinsing, vacuuming, carrying, and dusting rugs) Cleaning and organizing the van at the end of each workday Essential Qualifications Previous professional experience in carpet and/or rug cleaning Familiarity with professional cleaning equipment and machinery Strong attention to detail and quality standards Consistent and reliable attendance Ability to work independently and manage jobs without supervision Comfort using mobile devices for scheduling, navigation, and payments Ability to read job notes and schedules and communicate when clarification is needed Physical capability to perform demanding work (lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing, and repetitive movement) Understanding of dilution ratios, product usage, and basic cleaning chemistry Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to maintain a clean, professional appearance (uniforms provided) Commitment to maintaining clean vehicles, organized equipment, and professional standards Preferred Experience Background in cleaning chemistry and understanding of the pH scale Experience working with fine rugs, specialty fibers, or restoration cleaning Knowledge of Portland Metro geography and service areas Ability to contribute ideas that improve service quality and company growth Compensation $23.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits Full time employees are eligible for health insurance after 6 months.
