Production Technician Job Description The Production Technician works in a controlled cleanroom environment to manufacture, assemble, and package BioProcess Containers in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). In this role, you follow detailed instructions, including Standard Operating Procedures, work documents, and technical drawings, to ensure consistent quality and reliable production. You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and contribute directly to the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality products. Responsibilities Manufacture, assemble, and package BioProcess Containers in a cleanroom environment while adhering to cGMP standards. Follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, and technical drawings to perform all tasks accurately and consistently. Operate within a fast-paced production environment, meeting daily output goals and quality expectations. Perform general production, assembly line, and packaging activities as required to support overall workflow. Handle materials and components in a warehouse or production setting, including order picking and staging as needed. Use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively during assembly and production tasks. Apply strong attention to detail to identify and prevent defects, ensuring products meet established specifications. Follow cleanroom gowning procedures, including proper use of gloves, hair/beard nets, face covers, safety glasses, and other required PPE. Adhere to chemical hygiene practices when working with disinfectants, solvents, IPA, and other materials used in the cleanroom. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, following all applicable procedures and record-keeping requirements. Collaborate with team members to resolve production issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain a team-oriented work culture. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, providing updates on progress, issues, and any safety or quality concerns. Support a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards or incidents promptly. Essential Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, controlled cleanroom environment. Basic computer skills to complete training modules and access work instructions. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address production and assembly issues. Good verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with team members and accurate documentation. Ability to follow detailed procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and technical drawings. Commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adherence to quality standards. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and support colleagues. Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout a shift of up to 10 hours with possible overtime. Capability to perform frequent forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion. Ability to occasionally lift and handle up to 40 lbs unassisted. Comfort with using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following chemical hygiene practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Approximately 1 year of production experience is preferred but not required. Experience in production, assembly, or general manufacturing environments. Experience as a production worker, assembly worker, warehouse worker, or order picker is beneficial. Familiarity with cleanroom operations and controlled environments. Experience with assembly line work and packaging processes. Ability to use hand tools and basic production equipment safely. Work Environment This role is based in a fast-paced, controlled cleanroom environment where you may work up to 10 hours per day with possible overtime. The cleanroom maintains humidity above 30%, a temperature range of 60-70°F, and ambient noise typical of production facilities. You follow strict gowning requirements, including gloves, hair or beard net, face cover, safety glasses, and other PPE, and you do not wear makeup or jewelry in the cleanroom. You frequently perform gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions while standing, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the shift. You occasionally lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and regularly use hand tools and production equipment. Work includes handling disinfectants, solvents, IPA, and other chemicals in accordance with established chemical hygiene and safety procedures. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.28/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
