Position Summary The Insert and Flange Installation Technician installs, seals, and verifies the sealing surface between the liner and the flange. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, disciplined adherence to work instructions, and complete traceability of every component installed. Key Responsibilities Install inserts into HDPE liners according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and approved procedures. Install and inspect O-rings, seals, and backup rings, verifying correct material, size, lubrication, and seating. Apply calibrated torque to fasteners Perform leak testing and document results. Maintain strict foreign object debris control and cleanliness of liner interiors, threads, and sealing surfaces. Record lot numbers, serial numbers, and inspection data to maintain full component traceability. Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming parts, and support quality with nonconformance reports and root cause investigations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate in manufacturing, machining, or mechanical technology preferred. 1-3 years of experience in precision mechanical assembly, aerospace, pressure vessel, hydraulics, or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T basics, and written work instructions. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and torque tools. Experience with leak testing or high-pressure sealing systems is a strong plus. Strong documentation habits and comfort working in a quality-controlled (ISO 9001 or AS9100) environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, work with hand and power tools, and wear required PPE including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, and safety footwear.
Pay:
$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
