This role leads a team of lab technicians performing quality control testing on chemical products and raw materials, ensuring every batch meets our safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Hands-on experience working with chemicals in a lab or manufacturing environment is required. What You'll Do
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of lab technicians, including scheduling, training, and reviewing work for accuracy
• Perform and oversee chemical testing and analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation (e.g., titrators, spectrophotometers, GC/HPLC, pH meters)
• Review test data for accuracy and completeness, and flag out-of-specification results for investigation
• Maintain accurate records of test results, calibration logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure the lab operates in compliance with safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals
• Assist in developing and updating lab procedures, testing methods, and quality documentation
• Serve as the point of contact between the lab team and production, quality, and management staff
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized, audit-ready documentation
• Order and manage lab supplies, reagents, and equipment maintenance schedules What We're Looking For

• Required:

• Hands-on experience working with chemicals in a laboratory, industrial, or manufacturing setting
• Prior experience in a lead, supervisory, or senior lab technician role
• Strong understanding of lab safety practices, including chemical handling,
• SDS/MSDS, and PPE requirements
• Experience with standard lab instrumentation and testing procedures
• Ability to read, interpret, and enforce SOPs and quality standards
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Good communication and leadership skills to guide and train a team
• Comfortable working on-site in a lab/production environment in Odessa, TX Preferred Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science field
• Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., oil & gas, water treatment, chemical manufacturing)
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO or GMP Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift to 25
• 50 lbs., and safely handle laboratory chemicals and equipment
• Willingness to wear always required personal protective equipment (PPE) in the lab
• This position is in a warehouse lab setting and field site lab setting
