Job Description
Temporary Sterile Processing Technician (Entry Level) UVA Temps is recruiting for organized, detail oriented, and professional persons to fill Temporary Sterile Processing Technician roles within the Medical Center. Two shifts available Monday
- Friday, 40 hours/week. No weekend or holidays involved. 7am
- 3:30pm 3pm
- 11:30pm
Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technicians perform and participate in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.Responsibilities:
Ordering, receiving, conducting cycle counts, pulling cases for the Operating Room Stocking supplies, instruments and pans, restocking clean cart supplies, expediting supplies to the OR and stockingOMNICELL
cabinets with room stock Prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing (such as sterilization) Clean and decontaminate reusable equipment, instruments, and supplies, manually and mechanically (Hand Washing, Washer/Sterilizer, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Scope Washer, Cart Washer) Gather, assemble, and distribute surgical supplies, instruments, and medical equipment upon request or through case cart requisitionsPosition Compensation:
$17.50Hourly Physical Demands:
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail. Ability to lift/push/pull 50- 100lbs.
