CNC Lathe Operator With minimal supervision, perform CNC Lathe machining.

CNC Lathe Operator Duties:

Read and interpret mechanical drawings and router instruction Setup and machine parts to blueprints and/or work instructions Select appropriate tooling Act as in-process inspector where required Generate Non-conforming Material Reports as needed. Troubleshoot technical issues in repair process Identify necessary modifications to operator instruction sheets and communicate to Engineering Monitor consumable supply levels and communicate shortages Cross train in other areas of machine shop Maintain a safe and clean work environment Communicate issues to supervisor Perform basic preventative maintenance on CNC Lathe Observe safety guidelines and wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions Ability to stand for extended periods of time Familiarity with precision measuring tools Ability to maintain tolerances of .0005 inch. Basic math skills Proficient with hand tools Effective communication skills Proficient in use of precision measuring tools Minimum 3 years' experience involving similar equipment, processes, measuring tools and machining operations.
